I’m the mod at FYGWS
and I’ve been running it for a few years nowi started it
because at the time
i never saw girls with septums
on my dashit’s not hugely popular or anything
but i do have a good chunk of followers
and now my only issue
is that i can’t seem to find woc with septumsi’m lazy so I mostly reblog
but sometimes i look for photos on flickr or deviantartI’m just wondering if there’s a certain tag
I should be looking under
or if anyone would like to submit?I just want it to be a little bit more diverse
I know how it feels to not be represented
and I don’t feel represented on my own blog :/
so you think romney’s son buying voting machines in ohio isn’t going to make any impact on the election, right? WRONG. according to at least one person in columbus, ohio on the daily beast’s voter irregularity widget, machines with votes cast for obama are reporting as votes cast for romney. this is, in joe biden’s words, “a big fucking deal.”

Again? This fucking happened in Ohio when Dubya was reelected. I was a recount volunteer, and the poll workers turned recount volunteers all had stories about how the machines came in with votes on them and shit.
It was one the more futile feeling things I’ve done, as we were told flat out that what we were doing was under media blackout. And I tend not to talk about it, as I end up sounding like a conspiracy nut, but I was physically there supervising the recount.
This scares the fuck out of me. I am voting in Ohio tomorrow.

is that u? can you give it some love and care? are u willing to write image descriptions, queue up some posts (1 post a day so if you queue up 7 posts you’re done for the week!)? and maybe in the future dialogue with the other mods and I about how to use that space to continue to build community and create dialogue that we need?

Can Tumblr help change a life?
I have a good friend, J, who is finally leaving her husband after years of mental and emotional abuse and manipulation. Her friends and family are fully on board with this, luckily for her, but her ex, B, is not.
She’s tired, scared, and needs to get away from him. B, the ex-husband, has broken into her house, stolen numbers from her phone, and called them to threaten people. He’s best described as a loose cannon with a hair trigger, and he’s already successfully wormed his way back into J’s head before with emotional manipulation; they’ve been together for seven years already. We (her friends) want to help her get free at last.
J is worried for her own safety. She and her son (age 4) are moving to an undisclosed location, but they need money to get plane tickets, hotel rooms, and to pay for food and other necessities in the monetary struggles ahead while the legal proceedings unfold. Some funds will also be necessary to go through the divorce process, since he isn’t being fully cooperative with it.
I know it’s a tall order and you might not be in a position to contribute right now, but we’ve set a fundraising goal of $1,000. The more we raise, the more chance we have of keeping J and her son safe from B. Even a couple of dollars will help us reach this goal.

This is happening just a few blocks away from me.
Friends of mine at school have been down to the protests but I have been afraid to go. I wish I wasn’t.Holy fucking hell. The police are literally dragging this man by his ankles across the pavement while he says, “Why are you hurting me? Why are you hurting me?” There is also more footage of the police pinning the asthmatic person the ground. He is seen being forcefully thrown out of the crowd around :30 and later the police are standing on his legs.
There is an unidentified person on the ground beside a woman in a yellow poncho who is saying, “Will someone please loosen this man’s handcuffs? He’s in pain and he’s bleeding!”
How is this actually happening?
