what is distribution? what is production? what is “community”? what is “local”? why is it not super clear even among feminists that the problem is not that they stole womanly knowledge when they medicalized birthing or canned soup or patented herbs—but that they stole local women’s ability to control production and distribution of a product on their own terms with accountability to community?
