I NEED BAD THINGS TO HAPPEN TO THE DAILY WHAT
like…NOW. I need a fucking petition signed by Oprah and Michelle Obama telling them how wrong and awful and evil they are for that post. That is what I need to happen.
It’s amazing how fast we turn on survivors of violence the moment they “misbehave.”
It’s amazing the way that people don’t seem to understand how abusive dynamics can continue after a relationship has officially ended, or how easy it is to be sucked back into an abusive situation.
It’s amazing how people think that women are their public property and they deserve scolding and reprimand from complete strangers when they make choices that are disapproved of.
Nobody has to like Rihanna’s choices and one can even have the opinion that those choices are unwise or potentially dangerous, but that doesn’t give anybody the right to REPRIMAND HER or TREAT HER LIKE A BAD PERSON WHO HAS AFFRONTED YOU. No matter what you think of her choices, she is not the bad guy here. Thinking she has anything to apologize for is about YOU and YOUR victim-blaming and YOUR misogyny.
